OUR PASTOR

Pastor W Nyack

Pastor Wesley David Nyack was born in the island of  Trinidad and started  preaching from the early age of 16 years at the Cocoyea Seventh Day Adventist Church in San Fernando, Trinidad.

At the completion of high school, he taught for three years but always had his eyes set on the call he received of becoming a minister of the Gospel.  So in 1975 he enrolled in University of Southern Caribbean to begin his studies in the gospel ministry.  He began his ministerial career in 1979 after earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology from University of Southern Caribbean (then Caribbean Union College). Bodden Town Campaign 2012

Friendship With Jesus.

The Bodden Town Seventh-day Adventist Church held a two weeks crusade from March 18th – 31st 2012, under the caption “Friendship With Jesus” with Pastor Cipriano Collado. The preaching was soul stirring, the music was uplifting, and the members and visitors were out in their numbers each night and God blessed the efforts tremendously. Three precious souls were won to Christ and for this we say: To God be the glory great things He has done!

Bodden Town Campaign 2011

What a Might God We Serve.

The Lord has truly blessed the Bodden Town Seventh-day Adventist Church once again.
Thus far the year 2011 as brought us new believers from the “Behold the Lamb” gospel campaign with Evangelist, Steve King held in the month of January.

To God be the glory great things He has done! Ten precious souls turn their hearts to Jesus, and we anticipate more souls in the coming weeks.

Music Day

Harold Beckles

Renowned violinist Harold Beckles of Trinidad and Tobago was the special guest at the Bodden Town’s annual Music Day. Mr. Beckles captivated the congregation with outstanding renditions including ‘Lord, You’re Holy and ‘The Prayer’. The day began with a special ‘Music Clinic’ -a panel discussion on areas of music such as: ‘Music as a means of education’, ‘How music and singing can enhance family worship and the home atmosphere, ‘Congregational Singing’ and ‘The Purpose of Musical Instruments in Worship.’ The panel comprised David Bushell, Bentley Vaughan, Dwayne Euter, Wrendon Timothy and Harold Beckles- all outstanding and respected musicians.  It was moderated by budding musicians Danielle Mighty and Michael Woods.

The Divine and evening Services were both heavenly as the congregation received a true Ministry of Music. Vocalists from visiting churches participated in the day’s programme which was truly a blessing to the overflowing crowd that attended.

There is a well known cliché that says…it is best to thank someone when they are alive so that  they can appreciate it and that was exactly what the Bodden Town Seventh-Day Adventist Church on Cumber Avenue did on Sabbath June 19th, 2010.

It was indeed a wonderful day in Zion as 24 Stalwart members were specially honored as accolades in the form of a magnificent Service orchestrated by the Personal Ministries Department Team was bestowed upon these faithful members. The Service comprised of wonderful singing, a slide show presentation where members proclaimed their love for the Church and what has kept them steadfast for so many decades and beautifully designed plaques with the Church’s color of Royal Blue was given as a token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication.

The Service culminated with a Grand Fellowship Lunch upstairs in the Church Hall.
